Common questions
What does Soooon Pro add, and how do I restore it?
Soooon is free with every holiday, smart countdown and birthday from Contacts, plus three countdowns of your own; one made from your Calendar or Reminders counts as your own. Soooon Pro adds unlimited countdowns, Live Activities on iPhone and share cards without the watermark. Choose yearly, monthly or a one-time purchase; prices show in your own currency before you buy.
New iPhone, iPad or Mac, or the app reinstalled? Soooon starts free until you restore: Settings → Soooon Pro → Restore Purchases, with the same Apple Account (on a Mac, open Soooon → Settings…). To cancel a subscription, use Apple’s subscriptions page: Settings → your name → Subscriptions on iPhone and iPad, or App Store → your name → Account Settings on a Mac.
Does Soooon sync between my devices? Where are my countdowns kept?
Your countdowns, settings and photos are stored on the device, in a space shared only with Soooon’s own widgets. There’s no account, and we never receive them. Soooon doesn’t sync countdowns between devices, so each iPhone, iPad and Mac keeps its own; Soooon Pro, though, comes with your Apple Account to each of them through Restore Purchases.
To delete a countdown, touch and hold it in your list (Control-click on a Mac) and choose Delete, or open it and choose More (…) → Delete. Deleting Soooon from an iPhone or iPad removes everything it kept there. A Mac keeps an app’s data after the app goes to the Trash, so delete your countdowns first if you want them gone.
My notifications don't arrive. What should I check?
In Soooon, open Settings → Notifications. If it says “Notifications are off in System Settings”, turn them on in Settings → Notifications → Soooon on iPhone and iPad, or System Settings → Notifications → Soooon on a Mac. If it says Turn on notifications, tap it and allow them.
Each countdown has its own setting: open it, then More (…) → Edit → Notifications — Chatty, Normal, Just the big ones or Off. Holidays and birthdays from Contacts start on Just the big ones. Build-ups arrive at the Delivered at time, never more than one a day: several on the same day come together.
My widget shows the wrong countdown, or hasn't moved on.
A Countdown widget shows whatever is next unless you choose one: edit the widget (touch and hold it, or Control-click it on a Mac) and pick a Countdown. Up next lists the next few. Widgets move on by themselves at midnight and at a countdown’s set time, and every change in Soooon reaches them at once; if one still looks stuck, remove it and add it again.
On a Mac, the countdown in the menu bar is there while Soooon is open, and quitting Soooon takes it away. To have it back after a restart, add Soooon to the login items in System Settings → General.
Why does Soooon ask for Contacts, Calendar, Reminders or Photos?
Only when you ask for something that needs it. Find birthdays reads names and birthdays from Contacts; Find my plans and Find my reminders read the names and dates of your events and of reminders with a due date. Soooon only reads, never changes your Calendar or Reminders, and nothing leaves your device. Saving a share card to Photos asks to add pictures, never to see your library.
To change an answer, open Settings → Privacy & Security on iPhone and iPad, or System Settings → Privacy & Security on a Mac. Calendar needs full access: with access to add events only, Soooon can’t read them.
Why don't I see a Live Activity?
Live Activities are part of Soooon Pro, on iPhone. One appears up to six hours before a countdown’s moment, never starting between 10 pm and 7 am, and at most two show at a time. Weekly and monthly countdowns, the full moon, the seasons and countdowns with notifications Off never get one.
Check that Live Activities are on for Soooon in your iPhone’s Settings. On iOS 26 and later, Soooon schedules each one ahead of time; on earlier versions, open Soooon during those hours to start it.
