Answers about cancelling, reminders, sync and Premium — and a real person at the end of an email.
What MyRenewals is
MyRenewals keeps every subscription you pay for in one list, with its price, billing cycle, next renewal date and any free trial, on iPhone, iPad and Mac. It reminds you before a renewal or the end of a free trial, adds up what you spend each month on the Overview, and points you to the right place when it's time to cancel.
- Reminders before you payOn the day, 1, 2 or 7 days before, or any number of days you choose.
- Add it in secondsType it in, or import a screenshot or PDF and review what it found.
- Your monthly totalThe Overview adds up what you spend and shows what renews next.
- Profiles for home and workKeep personal and business subscriptions apart, with a total for each.
Answers
Common questions
Does MyRenewals cancel the subscription for me?
No. MyRenewals can’t charge or cancel anything for you. Cancel subscription, in a subscription’s … menu, marks it as cancelled in the app from the date you pick — the service keeps billing you until you cancel with them.
The cancel screen shows where to go, based on the subscription’s Billed through setting: for Apple, Manage Apple Subscriptions opens Apple’s subscriptions page; for Google Play, cancel in the Play Store app; for anything else, cancel directly with the service. Changed your mind? Reactivate subscription brings it back.
What does Premium add, and how do I restore it?
Premium lifts the free version’s limits on how many subscriptions and profiles you can add, and unlocks Premium Insights on the Overview: category breakdown, the last 12 months, the free-trials tracker and your most and least expensive plans. Prices show in your own currency before you buy.
New phone, or reinstalled? MyRenewals checks for your purchase when it opens. If Premium doesn’t come back, go to Settings → Get Premium and tap Restore at the bottom of the screen, using the Apple Account you subscribed with; Settings then shows Premium User. To cancel Premium, Settings → Manage Subscriptions opens Apple’s subscriptions page.
Why didn't a reminder arrive?
Notifications have to be allowed: if the Renewals tab says Notifications are off, tap Turn on. Each device sets up its own reminders when you open MyRenewals, timed from each subscription’s Next renewal date or free trial end, so check that those dates are right.
Settings → Notification Preferences sets the reminders new subscriptions start with — on the day and 2 days before a renewal, the last day of a free trial and the day before — and the time in Alert me at. Subscriptions you already had keep their own reminders: use Apply to … subscriptions on that screen, or change the Notifications section of a subscription.
How do I see my subscriptions on iPhone, iPad and Mac?
MyRenewals syncs through iCloud. Sign in to iCloud with the same Apple Account on each device and open the app: changes travel in the background and show up when MyRenewals opens on the other device, and on a Mac it also checks while the app is open.
Sign in with Apple, under Settings → Account, is optional: it keeps your Premium, and your Forward Receipts by Email address, the same on every device. Signing out leaves your data on the device.
Where is my data stored, and who can see it?
Your subscriptions, notes and reminder settings are stored on your device and in your private iCloud, which we can’t read. Purchases go through Apple, and we never see your payment details.
Imports are the exception. Import from Screenshot reads the text on your device and sends only that text to our server, where Google’s Gemini model finds the subscriptions for you to review. Forward Receipts by Email works the same way with the emails you forward, and keeps the results in your private import list. Nothing joins your list until you add it.
How do I delete a subscription, or all my data?
Open the subscription, tap … and choose Remove. It deletes the subscription and its history, on your other devices too through iCloud, and can’t be undone.
There’s no erase-all button, so remove subscriptions one by one. If you signed in with Apple or used Forward Receipts by Email and want that account and its data deleted from our server, email us and we’ll take care of it.
